Rhoden Building under construction c. 1910. At the corner of South Swinton and Atlantic Avenues. The Rhoden Building later housed Fountain’s dry goods store, Journey’s floor coverings, and a Quick-Print shop. The Rhoden family lived upstairs and ran a general store downstairs. Man at left in black suit is cautiously identified as Mr. George Currie, who developed residential areas of Delray Beach. The building across the street, towards the south on Swinton Avenue, is the first Methodist church in Delray, built c. 1902
