Cason Cottage

Come to 5 NE First Street, just north of Old School Square, and step back in time as you tour the Cason Cottage Museum. The tour features local history, South Florida lifestyle, climate, and architecture. The focus is on the years 1915 to 1935, with this historic house furnished as it was when a family lived there during that period.

Cason Cottage is open from November through April. Docents offer guided tours from 11 am to 3 pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Admission is $5 for adults, children under 16 are free. You may also tour the 1926 Florida Bungalow and the Ethel Sterling Williams Archive & Learning Center, a 1908 farm house adapted as a center for local research, exhibits, and the Historical Society’s archive collection.

Gift shop located in the front of the Cason Cottage Museum features history themed books and gifts.
