Come to 5 NE First Street, just north of Old School Square, and step back in time on a tour of Cason Cottage Museum. The tour features local history, South Florida lifestyle, climate, and architecture. Our focus is on the years 1915 to 1935, and this historic house is furnished as if a family lived there in that period.

Cason Cottage is open from November through April. Docents will offer a guided tour from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Friday. Learn about Florida’s heritage. Upon request for the same $4.00 admission for adults, you may tour the 1926 Florida Bungalow and the Ethel Sterling Williams Archive & Learning Center, a 1908 farm house adapted as a center for local research, viewing exhibits and housing the Historical Society’s archive collection.

A Native Florida Plant Garden has been planted on site. Florida native plants have adapted to life in the hot Florida climate and help our environment by reducing water usage and need for fertilizer. The garden can be included in our tour with information about plant characteristic and uses by Indian tribes and pioneers.

Gift Shop located in the front of the Cason Cottage Museum featuring history themed books and gifts.
School and group tours are available. Please call (561) 274-9578 for further information and arrangements for tours.
